consumers are organisms that consume things. one CONSUMER of a desert biome is a hawk. They are carnivores so they eat snakes, LIZARDS, insects, worms, mammals, and other birds. They have eyesight better than a human so they can spot prey from far away.
rodents are herbivores so they eat plants found in the desert like flowers and bushes. they can keep cool by sliding under a shaded area during the hot day.
An example of an omnivore would be a coyote. they eat both plants and animals like snakes and leaves. they survive well because they will eat almost anything.
